Dr .G.Rajamohan is a reputed scholar, and after serving for more than three decades as professor and Head of Department of Psychology, is even now very actively engaged in various academic activities. He is the recipient of “Outstanding Achievement Award” – 1996. He has very recently received the “Best Psychologist Award” from the Chief Minister of Pondicherry. He is also the President of the “Association of Professional Psychologists”, and President of Academy for Psychotherapists, Psychopathologists and Psychometricians
He has received many honors and awards both at India and abroad. He is Known for his writings and is also the editor of the popular Tamil Magazine. “Health and Beauty”. His articles on varied subjects have appeared in various national and international newspapers and magazines. Compassionate by nature, he offers free psychotherapy and counselling to the deserving poorer sections of the Society. He has been elected Chairman of the “International Conference on Sexology” consecutively for the past three years. He is guiding many students for their doctoral dissertations. He is associated with many well known and reputed N.G.O’s and serves the society at large in various capacities. He arranges weekly lectures on various topics which are very popular and well received among the academic society. Presently he is associated with I.P.M.S.
